Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to work with you?

The plans run from $2,998 a month for Starter, through $4,498 for Growth, to $8,998 for Elite. Websites are priced once, at $3,500, $6,500 or $12,500, and hosting is billed monthly after launch. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and furnace companies add GST/HST for their province (GST and QST in Quebec).

Is there a long-term contract?

No. There is no lock-in. The terms for your engagement, including notice periods, are confirmed in writing in your proposal.

Can we try before committing?

Yes. The 7-day free trial includes a digital marketing audit, a website performance check, an SEO analysis and competitor benchmarking, with no credit card required.

How long before we see results?

Paid search can bring calls within days. Google Business Profile fixes often show effects within weeks. New pages and organic search usually take a few months. We report monthly so you can watch the trend.

We tried an agency before and it did not work. Why would this be different?

We cannot speak for another agency. What we can do is agree measurable goals in writing, report on calls, booked estimates and jobs, and give you full access to every account so you can check our work.

Who owns the website, Google Business Profile and ad accounts?

You do. We work inside accounts in your name, and you keep everything if you leave.

What reports will we get?

A plain-language monthly report on calls, texts, emails, booked estimates, cost per job and search visibility. Growth and Elite plans add weekly reporting, and Elite adds a real-time dashboard.

Will you commit to a number of leads or a ranking?

No, and we would be wary of anyone who does. Search engines and customers decide. We show our assumptions and report actual numbers.

Do you install or service furnaces?

No. We are not a heating contractor. We publish furnace market news and provide marketing and business consulting to furnace companies.

Do you give compliance or rebate eligibility advice?

No. We summarise public rules and link the regulator or administrator. Compliance questions belong with bodies such as TSSA, Technical Safety BC or TSASK, and eligibility with the program.

How does the newsroom choose stories?

We publish only items we can verify from a primary source we loaded, and we show the source's date. Analysis appears in a separate, labelled section.

Do you work with companies outside BC?

Yes. Furnace companies in every province and territory can consult with us in person or by video call, or by phone, text and email.

How do we get started?

Call, text or email with your business name, city, website and what you need help with. We usually reply within one business day.

Price and value

The direct answer: our plans are published, in Canadian dollars, and start at $2,998 a month.

Owners usually want to know two things: what it costs, and how to tell whether it is working. The full plan table is on the pricing page, along with a worked example that compares the plan fee with the margin on a furnace replacement. The test we suggest is simple: after a full heating season, did marketing produce more booked estimates and jobs than it cost? If the answer is unclear, the reporting has failed, not just the campaign.

Contracts, ownership and access

There is no lock-in, and you own your assets. Your website, Google Business Profile, ad accounts and analytics are set up in your name. If you decide to stop working with us, you keep all of it. Any detail not covered here, such as notice periods or how ad spend is billed, is set out in writing in your proposal before you sign.

Results and reporting

We do not promise lead counts or rankings. What we do promise is transparency: an agreed list of measures, monthly reports in plain language, and access to the raw data. Our public HVAC results, including Roma Heating & Cooling and its 400% organic traffic growth in 12 months, are explained on the results page with notes on what each case does and does not prove.

The newsroom and the marketing

People sometimes ask whether the newsroom is just marketing. The two are connected but kept separate. Briefs in the newsroom summarise official sources and label any analysis. The marketing services use the same research to keep your pages and ads accurate. No brief is paid placement, and we never present a client's offer as news.

Our positioning

FurnaceNews.ca is a digital marketing and business consulting service for furnace and heating companies in Canada, part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA, from Vancouver. We are not an HVAC contractor. We do not install, repair or service equipment, and we do not interpret regulations for your business. For more, see about us.

Timelines in a heating business

Furnace marketing runs on the calendar. Work started in late summer has time to settle before the first cold snap; work started in January is catching up. As a rough guide from how these channels behave:

  • Paid search: calls can begin within days of launch, and campaigns usually need a few weeks of data before the targeting is tuned.
  • Google Business Profile: corrections and fresh photos can show effects within weeks.
  • New service and town pages: typically a few months before they settle in search results.
  • Reviews: a steady habit over a season matters more than a burst.

None of these is a promise; they are the patterns we plan around and report against.

Working with your existing team or agency

Some owners already have a web designer, an office manager who runs the ads, or another agency. We can work alongside them, take over one channel, or audit what is there first. The trial is a low-risk way to see an outside view of your marketing before deciding anything. Whatever we take on is written into the proposal so nobody is unsure who does what.

Questions about the news

If a brief raised a question about your own market, ask it. We cannot interpret rules for your business, but we can point you to the official source and explain how other furnace companies are communicating the change to homeowners.
